Those pilots are crazy as hell! The first departing plane should have at least waited for the landing one to come to a complete stop before taxiing in front of it.
@Zdogs22 Yes, that would be more correct … from what I understand about Lukla even a “go around” would be a tricky thing to pull off without becoming a greasy spot on a mountainside .. I know that I would not want to be in a situation that required any dramatic deviations from a normal approach and landing … I am basically a fair weather pilot so I am doing a lot of assuming.
@hammerogod The proper terminology is then no “touch and goes” not no “go arounds” A go around is when your on final approach and abort the landing. What your saying is that there are no touch and goes.
@Zdogs22 I don’t think you are getting it … once you are wheels-down at Lukla you are comittted to a full stop landing .. Runway 24 is one way street with mountains backing it … if you will watch some of the other Lukla vids and check the Wiki articel you will see the error in your contention.
“no go-arounds” Sorry but thats bullshit. There is no airport where your physically unable to do a go around. Unless ofcourse your runway backs up to a mountain, but I dont think most do
Nice annotations xD
is this a big tourist jump off?

They don’t release the brakes until the power is sitting at 100% with full pitch.
